This show features a variety of new and prior work by local Columbus artist, Bev Goldie. Primarily known for her encaustic paintings, she will unveil new pieces underwritten by a grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council - "Derived from the Palettes of the Masters". Using various methods, she created recognizable works with colors, themes or compositions by beloved Masters such as Monet, Van Gogh, Klimt, Gauguin and Rothko. These methods include pointillistic droplets of wax, shellac burns, carving, metallic leafing and infusions with pan pastels.
